​Painted Wooden Directional

This terrific early directional is made entirely out of wood and retains most of its original, dry painted surface in blue, salmon, red, and white.  It is double sided and dated 1888.  I have no idea where it may have been used, but it makes a statement simply hung on a wall.  The paint surface is all original to the piece.  It is in excellent condition with only minor surface abrasions due to age and use.  Measuring 61 1/2" in length by 10" in height and 2" thick.

A wonderful piece of early folk art!
