​"SALEM & BOSTON CITIZENS COACH" WRITING SLATE

This mid-19th writing slate was used for the Salem & Boston stage coach line.  It has a green painted frame with gilt lettering, surrounding a hand cut slate.  Measuring 14" tall by 10" wide.

All original with expected surface abrasions due to age and use. Remnants of its original leather hanger still visible, with an eyelet hanger added later.
