19th C. Maine One Drawer Stand
This wonderful single drawer stand was made by a fine country craftsman. It is painted in a red wash that has oxidized over time. The one board, hand-planed top is over a dovetailed and square nailed drawer with original pull, ending in beautifully turned, delicate legs. The skirt and posts are pegged construction. The table is signed in three places by its maker, "Dutton". There is wear to the paint surface due to age and use. Ca. 1825. Measuring 28 1/2" tall with the top measuring 21" by 20". A fine little Maine country table!
