Early Horse Leathers Brass Hearts

This is a fabulous pair of hand stitched horse leathers with brass embellishments. Probably used for decoration on each side of a carriage harness. Notice the slight differences between each, obviously hand made. The stitching and leather is similar to that of early key baskets. I love all horse brasses but I bought these because of the hearts and their early age. They can be hung on a wall. Great folk art! Each measures 12" long by 3 1/2" wide.
